VERMILLION, S.D. - Veterans, active military personnel and their families will be honored during Military Appreciation Day at USD's home football game vs. Northern Iowa at noon on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Veterans and military personnel are admitted free to the football game with coupon while tickets for family members of veterans and military personnel will be discounted half the price of regular admission. Military Appreciation Day also includes free admission to Coyote Tailgate Nation for all active military and veterans along with their families courtesy of USD's radio partner KVHT - Classic Hits 106.3 and its partners Conklin Distributing, Bertz Sports Bar, Schempp Building Supply and Coyote Cheek Cheers.

Military Appreciation Day features a halftime performance by the Sound of USD honoring service men and women with an "Armed Forces Salute" and a special presentation of the game ball by members of USD's ROTC unit, who will repel from the rafters of the Dome with the game ball prior to the Coyote football team entering the field.

"It's a special day for students and fans of USD to show their support for military personnel and veterans who have given their time, their lives for the freedom we enjoy today," said Jason Dean, USD Veterans Coordinator. "It's also a great way for us to promote awareness of veterans and their families on Veterans Day weekend."

Military Appreciation Day coupons are available for veterans, retired or active duty military members, National Guard and reserves from all branches at the following locations:

Note: The coupons must be redeemed for a game ticket at the USD Box Office, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or the day of the game.
