ELMHURST, Ill.—South Dakota seniors Allie Daly and Morgan Hancock were named to the Academic All-Summit League Team announced Wednesday. The 10 student-athletes named to the team were honored for their combined athletic and academic performances this season.
Daly, a catcher from Sioux Falls, was also named to the 2013 team. This season, she batted .399 with 13 home runs and a Summit-best 59 RBIs. Daly was a first-team all-Summit League pick and an NFCA All-Region choice. She graduated earlier this month with a degree in psychology and a 3.68 GPA.
Hancock, a right fielder from Wahoo, Neb., hit .329 with 10 homers, 33 RBIs and 37 runs scored in earning all-Summit League honors for the second year in a row. Hancock hit 29 home runs and stole 23 bases in four years with the Coyotes. She graduated earlier this month with a degree in psychology and a 3.71 GPA.
