The Series
South Dakota has played Arizona one time, last year in Green Bay Wis. The Coyotes put up a good fight but lost to the Wildcats in four sets (25-20, 20-25, 25-20, 25-19). This is the first meeting USD will have with both Cal State Northridge and Florida A&M.

Junior outside hitter Kalei Mau was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week with 37 digs and four blocks in seven sets. On offense, the team is led by senior Nikki Attea with 33 kills. Cal State Northridge: The Matadors (19-9, 10-6 in conference) are picked to finish fourth in the Big West Conference. They competed in the Utah Classic this past weekend where they lost to Lipscomb 3-2, No. 23 Utah 3-0 and Idaho State 3-0. Senior Cieana Stinson leads her squad with 53 kills and 4.82 kills per set, while sophomore Lauren Conati has 72 assists.
