MELBOURNE, Australia--Today, the Coyotes spectated an Australian Rules Football game between the Collingwood Magpies and the Western Bulldogs, climbed to the top of the Eureka Tower and visited Melbourne's SeaLife Aquarium.

Senior forward Bridget Arens shares her experience from today in the blog below.

Hello from Australia!

Today was yet another great day in the land down under. It was a bit more of a relaxing day, but we still managed to fill it with as many fun things as possible.

Our day started with a walk to the Melbourne Aquarium. I think I speak for the rest of the Yotes in saying it was probably one of the coolest aquariums around. It gave us a preview of all that we hope to see on our Great Barrier Reef cruise minus the large sharks, enormous crocodiles, and the interesting looking eels. The aquarium was not small by any means. It included three stories and each story had its own special effect including a shipwreck theme, penguins playground, and much more.

After the aquarium, we had a free afternoon to explore the city. Between shopping, finding places to take cool pictures, checking out the many little cafes, and hitting up the souvenirs shops, our afternoon slipped by in a hurry.

In the later afternoon, we had the opportunity to explore the Southern Hemisphere's largest tower- Eureka Tower. When one hears "largest tower", they can probably expect that it will take some time to reach the top. Not this tower, we were able to travel 88 floors in a matter of 30 seconds. Once at the top, we were able to look over the whole city. I thought I had seen a good portion of the Melbourne city, but according to the Eureka Tower, I hadn't even made a dent. It really was an amazing view of Melbourne.

To end our day, we hit up an Australian football game. Unlike an American football game, passing is not allowed. The objective is to move the ball across the field by punting it to your teammates and kicking it between a set of goals. No pads were required, which really made for a physical game. Four quarters at 30 minutes each were played with very little subbing. The endurance of the athletes was incredible. The stadium was able to hold about 65,000 people. Our guide thought there were about 30,000 in attendance for the night, which made for a really exciting atmosphere. The Australians are very true to their team, which resulted in a lot of bantering amongst the fans. Don't worry, the Yotes got a little competitive as well. It seemed as though we all picked our team and heckled one another. It was really a great way to end the day and a great way to end our stay in Melbourne.

As each day passes, each one of us realizes how privileged we are to be on this journey together. We all feel very blessed to be able to experience Australia and want to thank everyone back home for making this opportunity possible. It really is a great day to be a YOTE!
