Hayley Dotseth was named the Summit League Offensive Player of the Week, while libero
Anne Rasmussen received the Summit League Defensive Player of the Week the conference announced Monday. This is the first such honor for Dotseth, and the third consecutive week for Rasmussen.
Dotseth and Rasmussen helped lead the Coyotes to a 2-0 record this past week as South Dakota pushed past Oral Roberts (3-1) on Tuesday, and Omaha (3-1) on Saturday. Dotseth ended the week with 42 kills on 104 attempts to give her an impressive .317 hitting percentage. Rasmussen led the team with 49 digs averaging 6.12 digs per set.
Dotseth is currently fourth in the conference in kills per set with 3.27 while Rasmussen is sitting second in the league for digs per set with 5.30.
Dotseth, Rasmussen and the rest of the Coyotes will host South Dakota State in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center at 7 p.m. Friday in the first event of the South Dakota Showdown Series.
