Bergner, Graham, Moreland perform at Pro Day

USD Pro Day

VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota football players Miles Bergner, Tyson Graham and Jet Moreland performed inside the DakotaDome Wednesday morning in front of scouts from both the NFL and CFL. Graham and Moreland, starting linebackers for the Coyotes last fall, tested out in the 40-yard dash, vertical and broad jumps, and the bench press. Bergner worked out in field goals, kickoffs and punts.

Graham measured in at 6-feet-1-inch and 208 pounds. He ran a 4.54-second 40, had a 31.5-inch vertical, broad jumped 10 feet, and did 17 bench press reps at 225 pounds. Graham, who earned his degree in December, has been training with a company in Boca Raton, Fla., and flew back to Vermillion to participate Wednesday.

"It is good to be back at home in this comfort zone and perform in front of scouts," said Graham, who compiled 233 tackles in three years on the defensive side of the ball at USD. "I've spent the last 2-3 months training and eating healthy, and I'm in the best shape of my life. The scouts had Jet and I do linebacker and safety drills. I thought it went well, but there is always room for improvement. I have a workout with the Miami Dolphins in early April and that will be the next step for me."

Moreland measured in at 6-feet-1.5-inches and 224 pounds. He ran a 4.67-second 40, had a 37-inch vertical, broad jumped 9-feet-11-inches, and did 18 bench press reps. Moreland was the Coyotes' leading tackler this past season with 106 stops and earned all-MVFC honors. He is the second Coyote since 2000 to record 100 tackles in a single year.

"Jet's marks and times are comparable to some of the top prospects at his weight," said USD Co-Defensive Coordinator Atiba Bradley, who serves as the Coyotes' NFL Liaison.

Bergner made good on all 10 PAT/field goal attempts including two from 55 yards. He also showed off his leg on kickoffs and was asked to punt from different points on the field. Bergner was a unanimous All-American punter this past season after leading the nation with a 47.5-yard average.

"I stressed a lot on kicking these last couple of weeks and I think that showed," said Bergner. "I think the punting could have gone a little better, but it was alright. All the teams that I have talked to want me to stress either kicking or punting a little bit more, but they still want me to be able to do both. It was great getting to perform in the Dome and it was a lot of fun."

The 2017 NFL Draft takes place April 27-29.
