ELMHURST, Ill.—The South Dakota women's basketball team returned to the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 Poll on Tuesday night with a debut at No. 24.
The Coyotes (11-5) took care of business on the road last week and start off Summit League play at 3-0 for the first time in seven years in the league. South Dakota won both games in a two-game road swing that included North Dakota State and defending Summit League champion Western Illinois. The Leathernecks clocked in at No. 20 in the poll a week ago.
South Dakota previously spent 22 consecutive weeks on the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, lasting from Nov. 15, 2016 to Dec. 18, 2017.
The Coyotes host Mount Marty College in nonconference action at 7 p.m. tonight inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. USD returns to league play on Saturday as they host Fort Wayne at 1 p.m.
