South Dakota cancels Saturday’s home track and field meet

T&F: Meet Cancelled

04.02.2018

VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota track and field has cancelled Saturday's Dakota Duals home track and field meet due to impending bad weather. The meet will not be rescheduled.

Three South Dakota program records fell over Easter weekend while 18 marks were added to the Coyote Top-10 performance list. Sophomore Chris Nilsen won the pole vault at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in 19-0 ¼ to take the NCAA lead and tie the seventh-best mark in NCAA outdoor history. Sophomore Zack Anderson broke a 28-year-old school record by clearing 7-1 ¾ to win the high jump at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational. He ranks 10th in the NCAA. Junior Madeline Huglen improved her own school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase by clocking 10:35.48.

The Coyotes' next competition is the Sioux City Relays held April 13-14 in Sioux City, Iowa.
