Coker was an all-state defensive back as a junior and an all-state running back as a senior at Washington. On offense, he ran for 1,650 yards and scored 30 touchdowns. As a defensive back, he registered 52 tackles and had three interceptions in leading the Demons to a trip to the state championship game. Coker was a four-year starter and a team captain. He is also a state qualifier on the track.
