ELMHURST, Ill.--The South Dakota men's track and field team has been picked to win its second straight Summit League outdoor track and field championship, as announced recently by the league office. The Coyote women were voted second after taking third a year ago.
2014 All-Summit League performer for both indoor and outdoor seasons ... recorded 10 wins during the outdoor season and five wins during the indoor season ... finished 14th in the 110 hurdles at the NCAA West Preliminary Round. Missed the national meet by .03 seconds with time of 13.84 ... posted region's 27th-best 110 hurdles time of 13.99 ... Helped 4x100 team win The Summit League outdoor title. Individually placed second in the 110 hurdles and third in the 100, 200 and long jump ... During the indoor league championships, won the 60 hurdles and finished third in the long jump ... During outdoor season, led league performance list in the 200 (21.29) and 110 hurdles (13.84) ... during indoor season, led league in the 200 (21.68) and 60 hurdles (7.95) ... at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays, won the 200, 110 hurdles and 4x100 relay ... won the 110 hurdles and the 4x100 at the Sioux City Relays ... won the 110 hurdles at the Wildcat Classic and Mount Marty Twilight ... won the long jump at the Nebraska Invitational ... finished 10th in the 110 hurdles at the Drake Relays ... during indoor season, won the 60 hurdles at the Bill Bergan Invitational and Jack Johnson Classic ... won the 200 at the Dakota Realty Alumni Meet and the long jump at the Jack Johnson Classic.
Butte Community College Set program records in the 110-meter hurdles and in the long jump...won the junior college state championship with a leap of 24 feet, 3.75 inches in the long jump at at the College of San Mateo last May.
Prep Placed 8th in the high school long jump (22-4.5) at the 2010 Penn Relays meet...finished second in the 110m hurdles and third in the 400m (48.93) at the 2011 Western Athletics Championships.
