    Coyotes go cold in Fargo

    FARGO, N.D.--North Dakota State shot out to a 24-3 lead and never looked back in an 82-54 win against South Dakota Thursday night at the Bison Sports Arena. The Bison (22-6, 11-2 Summit) have won the Summit League regular season championship outright and have won 11 of their last 12 games. South Dakota (12-16, 6-7) lost for the first time in four games.

    VERMILLION, S.D.--Karim Rowson scored a team-high 11 points and Tyler Larson added 10 as South Dakota drew even in the Summit League standings with a 64-54 win against Western Illinois on Senior Day Saturday at the DakotaDome.


    Coyotes kick Jags behind Gruis' 18

    INDIANPOLIS--South Dakota senior center Trevor Gruis notched his 1,300th-career point and continued his dominance of IUPUI in a 71-67 win Saturday at the Jungle. The Coyotes (10-15, 4-6 Summit) got a much-needed road win ahead of next week's final two regular season home games.

    Averaged 18 points and five rebounds per game to lead the Pioneers in scoring as a sophomore for head coach Rolando De La Berrera...was named to the All-Region II team and led the region in scoring...shot 52.3 percent from the field and had a career-high 40 points to go along with 12 rebounds versus Seminole State College in the Region II Tournament on Mar. 5... tallied 37 points and 12 rebounds versus Kansas State-Salina on Dec. 9 and had 29 points and 11 rebounds versus Northern Oklahoma College on Jan. 12...averaged eight points and four rebounds per game while helping guide the Pioneers to a 21-9 record and a berth in the Region 11 Tournament.
