    Bears best Coyotes 31-12

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo.--Missouri State quarterback Kierra Harris threw three touchdowns in the first half and added a 20-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to lead the Bears to a 31-12 win against South Dakota Saturday at Plaster Field.


    Coyotes, Bears seeking first MVFC win

    South Dakota (2-4, 0-2 MVFC) opens the second half of its season against Missouri State (3-3, 0-2) at 2 p.m. Saturday at newly renovated Plaster Stadium in Springfield, Mo. It is the second week in a row that the Coyotes have been featured in the MVFC Game of the Week. The last two meetings between the programs have been decided by a field goal.

    VERMILLION, S.D.--Northern Iowa quarterbacks Sawyer Kollmorgen and Brion Carnes both threw touchdown passes in leading the 21st-ranked Panthers to a 27-16 win against South Dakota in front of a sellout Dakota Days crowd of 10,219 Saturday in the DakotaDome.


    Spotlight on Coyotes as MVFC play begins at SIU

    South Dakota (2-2, 0-0 MVFC) opens conference play on the road against 16th-ranked Southern Illinois (4-1, 1-0 MVFC) at 6 p.m. Saturday at Saluki Stadium in Carbondale, Ill. The Coyotes are going after their second win against a ranked foe after topping No. 23 Northern Arizona last time out.
