    Spring Primer: The Offense

    South Dakota falls short on senior day

    South Dakota football's fourth quarter comeback attempt came up short when Terrell Sinkfield recovered Kevin Robb's onside kick attempt with 39 seconds remaining. The Northern Iowa Panthers took a knee to preserve the 24-21 victory.

    Played in all 11 games and was one of 14 Coyotes with at least 10 starts, he at running back...USD's Dave Triplett Offensive Player of the Year...led the team and ranked ninth in the MVFC in rushing with 586 yards...averaged 4.9 yards per carry, good for fifth in the MVFC...had four rushing touchdowns...was also USD's fifth-leading receiver with 10 catches for 102 yards and a score...averaged 17.5 yards on eight kickoff returns...had three 100-yard rushing efforts...carried 14 times for a season-high 127 yards and a touchdown vs. Colgate (9/8)...had a 53-yard touchdown run and a 41-yard touchdown reception vs. Illinois State (9/29)...finished with 120 yards rushing vs. Illinois State...carried 23 times for 108 yards and a score at Missouri State (10/13).

    Played in all 11 games and led the team in rushing yards with 660 for a 60.0 average...Scored four rushing touchdowns which was second-most on the team...Has six receptions out of the backfield for 53 yards for an 8.8 clip...Had a career-best 153 rushing yards on 25 carries to go along with three receptions for 24 yards in a thrilling 24-19 win over No. 24 Southern Utah...Earned Great West Conference Player of the Week honors for his efforts in that game..Was team Offensive Player of the Week for the Wisconsin game...He finished fourth in the league in rushing and was eighth in total offense....Earned second team all-conference honors...Ranked third on the team in all-purpose yards with 713 for a 64.8 clip...Has 196 rushing attempts for 1,012 yards and six scores for his career heading into his senior year.

    Appeared in all 11 games as a reserve running back and on special teams...finished third on the team with 286 rushing yards and one touchdown on 52 carries....averaged 5.5 yards per carry and 26.0 yards per game...posted a season-high 74 yards at Lamar...also returned 16 kickoffs for 295 yards to average 18.4 yards per return...notched a season-long return of 35 yards...also earned six tackles on special teams.

    Played on special teams and as a reserve running back...finished fifth in the nation in kickoff returns with 27.1 average...returned 18 kickoffs for 488 yards...ninth all-time in USD single-season history...posted season-long 54-yard return against UCD....notched season-high 138 yards on five returns against MSU...rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown...notched eight tackles on special teams.

    Redshirted his first season in the USD program.

    Led team to the Northwest Suburban Conference Championship and was named to the all-metro and All-Conference team in 2006 and 2007...ran for over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns his senior season and just shy of 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns during his junior season...letterwinner in track and was a state participant in three different events including the 100-meter dash where he ran a 10.8...played for coach Darren Lamker.
