VERMILLION, S.D.--South Dakota boasts 139 student-athletes on The Summit League's Academic Honor Roll for the winter and spring seasons. Of those, 72 were also named to the Summit's Academic Distinguished Scholars List. Both numbers are second-highest in the league.
With the end of the season two weeks away, the South Dakota women's basketball team will look to sweep the season series against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies in the O'Rena on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. The game can be heard on 1570 KVHT with pregame with Rod Pattison starting at 5 p.m.

Prep Had an outstanding career at Brandon Valley High School...named South Dakota Miss Basketball in 2012...named Argus Leader Player of the Year in 2012 and earned second straight selection to First Five Team...averaged 21 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists as a senior...finished with 1,470 career points, a school record, and also holds school records for rebounds (688), assists (366) and steals (193)...named 2011-12 Gatorade South Dakota Girls Basketball Player of the Year...was All-State first-team during both senior and junior seasons...as a junior set a school record with 478 points...averaged 18.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game as a junior, and set a school - and state tournament -- record with 34 points in a game in the Class AA state quarterfinals against Mitchell...also a member of the Argus Leader First Five and helped lead Brandon Valley to the Class AA state championship...a three-time all-conference selection in her career as well.
